DEFINITION: Under the guidance of a teacher, provides individual or group instruction services. Prepares instructional materials used with individuals or groups, including children and families. Performs other related duties as assigned.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Provide individual or group special instruction services under the guidance of a teacher or other professional staff.
- Prepare instructional materials to be used during individual and/or group settings with children and families.
- Provide interim and/or ongoing service coordination to families ensuring effective assessment planning,
- Assist with site-based procedures (i.e., Medical Assistance billing procedures, processing transition packets, preparing packets for Individualized Family Service Plan reviews, assessment planning and scheduling) under the supervision of the team leader designed to ensure effective service delivery to children and families and efficient processes that support site operations.
- Collaborate with personnel from a variety of agencies in implementation of services to children and families.
- Complete documentation requirements including service coordination logs, Medical Assistance billings, and statistics forms.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- All persons employed by the Baltimore County Public Schools, regular and temporary, are required to be fingerprinted and have a criminal background investigation (per COMAR) completed. The fee charged for fingerprinting is $109. An identification card will be issued which must be shown prior to employment.
- Anyone offered employment is required to provide proper identification and documentation of eligibility for employment in the US.
- If you have military experience, you will be asked to provide a copy of DD214.
- Official transcripts for all higher education must be received prior to contract signing.
- Some positions will require employees to undergo a physical examination and/or drug testing.
