Job title: Teachers for ESL Evening Parent Program Company: Lake County Schools Job description: Qualifications: Must have a Valid Illinois Teacher Certificate (PEL) with an ESL endorsement (Bilingual certification is a plus). Experience working in Adult Education Programs. Responsibilities: * Teach parents English as a Second Language using Ventures curriculum.

• Help parents set goals and check them periodically to make sure their goals are met.
• Maintain accurate records for monitoring parent's attendance and progress.
• Make phone calls to parents who miss two consecutive days and keep accurate records.
• Collect and chart data, administer informal surveys or assessments as needed.
• Submit weekly lesson plans.
• Other duties as assigned by the ESL Coordinator, which are consistent with the collective bargaining unit.

Salary: $35.53 per hour/ 5 hours per week Work Year: 2023-2024; Mondays and Wednesdays 5:30p.m. - 8:00 p.m. - October 2, 2023 through May 8, 2024 Dates may be adjusted based on district needs Teachers from the ESL Program will be directly responsible to the ESL Coordinator and indirectly responsible to the Director or Bilingual and Multicultural Department.
