POSITION SUMMARY:
To help create and maintain effective communication between the community, families and the school in order to provide needed supports to ensure that all students can learn effectively.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must be highly qualified - Associate Degree or 48 hours of college credit or Oklahoma General Education Test (OGET) or Workkeys Test or ParaPro Assessment
- Welcomes new families into the school and helps them establish themselves and their students in the school community.
- Monitors tardiness and absences and contacts parents of chronic absentee students in order to offer assistance.
- Helps to plan and lead family and community outreach events.
- Guide families through all supports offered through the school district.
- Guides families through the use of technology and online educational programs used by the school district.
- Works with school staff, families and students to create unique supports to ensure success for individual students.
- Helps implement school-wide programs to ensure progression towards the goals detailed in the school's Title 1 Schoolwide Plan as required by the Every Student Succeeds Act, Section 1114.
- Additional duties that may be assigned by immediate supervisor or above.
