Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team on a 100% remote basis. As a Customer Service Representative, you will work directly with retired members or family members to discuss retiree benefits, providing exceptional customer service support. You will be responsible for managing inbound calls, researching participant accounts, addressing basic questions or issues, and providing accurate and efficient responses. If you have excellent communication and teamwork skills, a strong ability to support Retired government customers, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative with arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing inbound calls in a timely manner, following call center scripts when handling different topics
  • Researching participant accounts to provide accurate and efficient responses
  • Addressing basic questions or issues, and escalating complex issues to senior representatives as needed
  • Providing an accurate and efficient response, keeping accurate records of all conversations and meeting contractual qualitative and quantitative targets
  • Performing tasks associated with call handling, including basic plan and participant file research and updates
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve customer issues and improve overall customer experience
  • Staying up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends to provide expert advice to customers

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least six (6) months to one (1) year of experience in an office setting taking inbound calls
  • Demonstrated typing/keyboard skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to facilitate clear and accurate exchange of information to callers
  • Quality and accuracy of tasks
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While not essential, the following qualifications and skills would be highly desirable:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or call center environment
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Experience with data entry and record-keeping
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
