The Role

As a Customer Support Representative for American Express, you'll be the primary point of contact for our customers, providing them with expert advice, guidance, and support. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Building relationships with customers through proactive communication and personalized support
  • Providing product and service information, recommendations, and promotions to meet customer needs
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues and improve overall customer satisfaction
  • Continuously improving processes and procedures to enhance the customer experience
  • Meeting or exceeding performance metrics and targets

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide high-quality customer service through phone, email, and chat channels

  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Build relationships with customers through proactive communication and personalized support
  • Provide product and service information, recommendations, and promotions to meet customer needs
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues and improve overall customer satisfaction
  • Continuously improve processes and procedures to enhance the customer experience
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics and targets

Essential Qualifications:

* 2+ years of experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in the financial services or travel industry

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex customer issues
  • Proficiency in using technology, including CRM systems, email, and chat platforms
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a call center or customer service environment

  • Knowledge of American Express products and services
  • Familiarity with industry-leading CRM systems and software
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
  • Fluency in multiple languages
