Job description: Position Summary: This position monitors, assists and directs students assigned to in-school suspension during the school day, communicating with teachers to facilitate assignment and submission of work. The successful candidate will provide classroom support in other classrooms; monitor non-classroom areas to ensure appropriate student behavior; and organize and supervise service projects within the school and community.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma.
- Excellent verbal, written, and inter-personal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to acceptable student behavior.
- Knowledge of issues and concerns of high school students.
- Experience working in a high school setting.
- School-related, youth-related, or tutoring-related experience.
- Successful experience supervising or guiding teens.
- Completed college classes, particularly in education.
- Classroom management experience.
- Understanding of middle school systems and discipline procedures
