RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement account technical / formal training program strategy, policy and procedures related to delivery of technical and safety-related assessments, technical training, site and account-specific customized training and associated analytical data associated with training dashboards
- Develop data center / critical environment training platform/technology strategy leveraging existing systems while exploring 3rd party capabilities to enhance training delivery and content
- Development of all technical content related to critical facilities and engineering systems such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire, and some IT Services (rack/stack, hardware planning, etc) were applicable in in the MSA contract.
- Development of learning modules associated with technician apprenticeship programs for critical facilities with the ability to certify content
- Develop training and implimentation strategy with the capability to span regions and various cultures
- Support critical environments CyrusOne account portfolio, personnel development and establishing technical training programs related to human error, assets and complex data center systems
- Development and implementation annual training program and teaching plans
- Provide input to account-related quarterly and annual training budgets
- Responsible to drive a culture of 100% data center uptime
- Support data center business pursuits with divisional and regional business ensuring training solution is applied appropriately
- Provide data center solutions and new business transition support leading complex engagements, stabelization and transformation programs in high risk environments
- Drive deployment of data center training products programs per the MSA 2.1 of the contract and support deployment with feedback loop
- Provide input to strategic data center product bundle to insure JLL Data Center capabilities are manged with limited risks and exposure
- Integrate training related to operational best practices within existing program/playbook and Engineering Center of Excellence
- Act as subject matter expert and single point of contact for data center training program within your assigned responsibility
- Accountable for collaborating with JLL Account Service lines to achieve goals & objectives
- Accountable for working with HR on tracking training hours and content delivered via the HR JLL System
- Consult with clients and account leadership with all aspects of data center operations, management, account expansions and design to deliver customized training methods
- Maintain effective communications with external and internal clients, technical personnel and key management
- Accountable for regular communications with JLL and CyrusOne training calls in each region
- Accountable for working with vendors and procurement partners to obtaining training materials and content.
- Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they reflect any change
- Acclimate new hires to the CyrusOne account and conduct orientation sessions
- Setup training schedule and deliver training courses
- Development of the Train the Trainer program
- Position could require up to 30-40% travel
- Re-assess personnel on an ongoing basis
- Maintain records on all training initiatives
- Performs additional job duties as requested
- Must have in-depth knowledge and experience in a data center and critical facility, including UPS Systems, emergency generators, and switch-gear
- Prior experience with development of mission critical programs operations and management
- Minimum of 12 years of as a Training Director, Training Manager or similar role
- 10 years of managing Account programs
- Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills.
- Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service.
- Certification in training and development related to technical training
- Expertise in training content creation and deployment while leveraging the latest advancements in technology
- Experience organizing training activities in a corporate environment
- High degree of communication and leadership skills
- Ability to meet 30-40% travel requirements
- Ability to articulate value proposition to CyrusOne client
