Job Responsibilities

As an Experienced Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Accurately reading, interpreting, and entering prescriptions into our computer system, including dosage calculations, medication assignments, and verifying insurance payments in a timely manner.
  • Contacting physicians' offices and insurance companies to ensure the accuracy of our patients' specialty medication orders.
  • Occasionally, you will be responsible for responding to patient calls to arrange and manage new patient medication requests and reorders, which includes verifying and re-verifying benefits.
  • Providing excellent customer service and support to patients, physicians, and insurance companies.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid AZ Pharmacy Technician License
  • At least 6 months of experience working in a pharmacy
  • At least 6 months of experience working with Windows-Based applications, such as Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
  • Strong keyboarding skills and preference
  • Ability to sit or stand for the length of the shift (8-10 hours)
  • While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is expected to use a keyboard and computer

Preferred Qualifications

* At least 6 months of experience as a pharmacy technician

  • At least 90 days of experience handling and resolving customer needs via telephone
  • Experience in healthcare, benefits, insurance, and medication management
  • Experience with clinical charging, coding, and other clinical support roles
  • Customer service experience in an office setting
  • At least 6 months of professional work experience, including inbound and outbound telephone customer care
  • Strong customer support skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of computer programs
  • Excellent data entry skills
