Key Responsibilities
As a Tax Technician I (Remote Data Entry Specialist) at arenaflex, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Receiving and screening digital documents from arenaflex divisions and external partners
- Scanning/uploading files, manually entering data, and performing accuracy checks
- Creating and updating taxpayer accounts via registration and maintenance systems
- Reviewing documentation for use tax liability, tax exemptions, or missing information
- Generating and sending system-produced correspondence (emails or letters)
- Communicating with taxpayers via phone or email to resolve billing or compliance issues
- Maintaining virtual record folders and adhering to secure data storage procedures
- Using authorized systems to verify account accuracy and completeness
- Assisting with onboarding and guiding new remote team members
Minimum Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A high school diploma or GED; some college coursework in accounting, business, or finance is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and web-based data systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in fast-paced remote settings
