Job title: Special Education Teacher Company: Spencerport Central School District Job description: The Spencerport School District is currently accepting applications for a Special Education Teacher at Munn Elementary School. Appointment: Full-time; probationary Description: Self-contained 8:1:1 classroom Required Credentials: N.Y.S. teacher certification (Special Education 1-6), successful prior teaching or student teaching experience, knowledge of N.Y.S. Learning Standards, collaborative team member, and technologically proficient. Preferred Credentials:

• Knowledge of Committee on Special Education process and Individual Education Plan (IEP) goal writing, implementation and progress monitoring. General knowledge of elementary curriculum and instruction.
• Experience with providing special education students with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth in the least restrictive environment.
• Experience with developing and/or modifying curriculum, preparing lessons and providing specially designed instruction to address individual student needs.
• Experience with establishing and maintaining open communication with parents, students, teachers and other relevant stakeholders.

Salary/Benefits: Salary/Benefits: $43,189 - $57,640, based on degree and years of experience, per the Spencerport Teachers? contract.
