Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team on a temporary full-time basis. As a Benefit Card Support Specialist, you'll be responsible for providing high-quality service to customers via phone, addressing their inquiries, and resolving issues related to debit card incentives, orders, and balances. This is a remote opportunity, and we're looking for candidates who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative – Benefit Card Support, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing large volumes of inbound calls in a timely and efficient manner
  • Following established communication scripts to handle various topics and ensure consistency in service delivery
  • Identifying customers' needs, clarifying information, researching, and providing solutions and/or alternatives to resolve their issues
  • Accessing company and client resources to accurately handle calls and provide the best possible support
  • Seizing opportunities to upsell products and services when they arise
  • Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to change tasks quickly without losing efficiency or composure
  • Maintaining punctuality and attendance at all scheduled times, with a strong commitment to being available and responsive to customers
  • Providing positive and professional interactions with customers, even in challenging situations
  • Cross-training as requested to expand your skills and knowledge

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Previous 3-6 months of customer service or customer support experience, preferably in a call center or office environment
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn quickly
  • Strong phone and verbal communication skills, with active listening and problem-solving abilities
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A strong commitment to customer satisfaction and a passion for delivering exceptional service
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • A background check will be required, in accordance with state and federal laws

Pay & Benefits

As a temporary full-time employee, you'll enjoy:

  • Starting pay of $14/hour, plus shift differential (extra $1/hr nights & wkds)
  • Work hours between 9:00am-10:00 pm (CST), with a flexible schedule to accommodate your needs
  • Paid training, typically 1-2 weeks in length, from 8:00am-5:00pm (CST)
  • A temporary full-time status, with opportunities for growth and development

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Requirements

As a remote worker, you'll need to provide your own equipment and workspace, meeting the following requirements:

  • A laptop or desktop computer with a processor of Intel Core i5 5200 Series or greater
  • 8GB of memory on Windows 8.1 / 10 64 bits
  • A screen resolution of 1280x768 or higher, with dual monitors required
  • A USB headset
  • Up-to-date antivirus software, with a recent scan completed
  • A firewall enabled
  • A dedicated high-speed internet connection, with a secure and reliable connection to support business needs

To ensure a seamless experience, please note the following hardware and software requirements:

  • Processor: Intel Core i5 5200 Series or greater
  • Memory: 8GB on Windows 8.1 / 10 64 bits
  • Screen Resolution: 1280x768 or higher, dual monitors required
  • USB headset
  • No Chromebooks, netbooks, or any type of tablet (Must be a laptop or a desktop)
  • Up-to-date antivirus software must be installed on the platform and a recent scan completed. (Will be checked prior to allowing login to system)
  • Firewall must be enabled (Will be checked prior to allowing login to system)
