Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative – Union Benefits Specialist, you will play a critical role in educating members about the benefits available to them through their union affiliation. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to members via phone, email, and chat
  • Educating members about the benefits available to them through their union affiliation
  • Responding to member inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and support
  • Meeting or exceeding sales targets, where applicable
  • Staying up-to-date on industry developments and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and best practices

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess the following essential qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience in customer service or a related field
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with members and internal stakeholders
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Fluency in English (bilingual in any language is a plus, but not required)
  • MUST RESIDE IN CALIFORNIA

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • Experience working with labor unions, credit unions, or associations
  • Knowledge of benefits and insurance products
  • Proven leadership abilities and a track record of mentoring or training others
  • Experience with CRM software and other customer service tools
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
