Job Summary:

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative I, Medical Billing, you'll be responsible for providing top-notch customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring that their concerns are addressed promptly and professionally. You'll work closely with our PBS team to resolve billing issues, set up payment plans, and respond to complaints in a timely and accurate manner. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with internal and external customers, while your attention to detail and organizational abilities will ensure that all interactions are thoroughly documented and reported.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring that their concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.

  • Resolve billing issues, including setting up payment plans and responding to complaints in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Document and report all customer interactions, including complaints, problems, and general inquiries, in accordance with arenaflex policies and procedures.
  • Track trends of customer service encounters and recommend resolutions to supervisor; escalate issues as needed.
  • Perform communication and follow-up processes related to customer service, ensuring that activities are submitted timely, tracked, trended, and reported.
  • Maintain working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and arenaflex policies and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the PBS team to ensure seamless communication and resolution of customer service issues.

Essential Qualifications:

• High school diploma or Associate's degree in Accounting or Business Administration or related field.

  • At least one (1) year of experience with revenue cycle functions and systems in a hospital/clinic, health insurance, managed care, or other healthcare financial setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous service/call center experience handling customer inquiries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external customers and interpret customer requirements.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and operate keyboard and telephone effectively.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a complex, multi-site environment.

  • Completion of regulatory/mandatory certifications and skills validation competencies.
  • Comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
