A Day in the Life as a Healthcare Customer Service Representative

As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative, you'll be the cornerstone of our organization, providing exceptional patient care and support. You'll be the first point of contact for our patients, and your empathetic nature and ability to quickly resolve problems will be essential to your success. You'll actively listen to patients, assist them in resolving their medical balances, and negotiate and collect payments.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide exceptional patient care and support through active listening and empathetic communication

  • Assist patients in resolving their medical balances and negotiate and collect payments
  • Use your knowledge of healthcare billing and finance to resolve complex issues
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve patient issues
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry best practices

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous customer service experience
  • Experience in healthcare billing and finance
  • Understanding of HIPAA
  • Ability to learn new software quickly
  • Bilingual in Spanish (written and verbal)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a call center or customer service environment

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and coding
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare software
  • Certification in customer service or a related field

Work Schedule:

Our Healthcare Customer Service Representatives enjoy flexibility through three schedule options:

  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
  • Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
