Key Responsibilities

As a Benefits Administrator, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Making appointments and following up with Union members who have requested information on benefits
  • Providing exceptional customer service and support to our members
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure seamless communication and service delivery
  • Maintaining accurate records and data related to member benefits and services
  • Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Taking on new responsibilities and contributing to the growth and success of the team

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on empathy, active listening, and problem-solving
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers daily
  • Previous customer service and sales experience, preferably in a Union or benefits-related setting
  • Great attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and precision
  • Self-motivation, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Desire to participate in professional development and take on new responsibilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset:

  • Experience working in a Union or benefits-related setting
  • Knowledge of benefits administration, including health insurance, life insurance, and retirement plans
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and other technology tools
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate with members in their preferred language
