Harmar, a leading manufacturer of mobility solutions—including stairlifts, vehicle lifts, and vertical platform lifts—is seeking an experienced and dynamic National Sales Manager to lead our U.S. sales organization. This critical role is responsible for accelerating growth, optimizing performance across our sales channels, and cultivating the strong relationships that define Harmar’s success. This role requires a strong, strategic leader with a passion for coaching, relationship building, and driving results in a solution-focused sales environment.

About the Role

The National Sales Manager will oversee a high-performing team of Territory Representatives.

This leader will drive growth across the pillars of our business and our core sales channels:

  • Dealer Network
  • Large Network Accounts
  • National Accounts
  • Government

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a national sales team to exceed revenue targets and expand Harmar’s market presence.
  • Drive strategic growth initiatives across all sales channels, ensuring each pillar is optimized for volume, margin, and long-term expansion.
  • Strengthen relationships with key dealers, distributors, and strategic partners, with a focus on increasing share and expanding territory performance.
  • Identify new business opportunities and guide the team in capturing untapped markets and high-growth accounts.
  • Analyze performance by channel and region and take decisive action to improve results.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales Leadership, Commercial Operations, VA Sales Team, Call Center, Marketing, Product Team, Operations, and Customer Service to support channel needs and enhance customer journey.
  • Develop annual sales strategies, forecasts, and territory plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Represent Harmar at industry events, trade shows, and partner meetings to build visibility and engagement.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement. Ideal candidate will be self-driven with high sense of urgency.
  • Ability to foster key relationships both internally and externally. Reviews and approves expense reports for the traveling team in accordance with company policy.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, ideally in manufacturing, mobility, medical equipment, or related industries.
  • Proven ability to drive growth and manage multiple sales channels.
  • Successful track record leading remote, multi-territory sales teams.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with strategic partners and key accounts.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in forecasting, territory planning, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%.
  • Other duties as assigned.
