IT Administrator - Focus: Network, Virtualization, and IT Security (m/f/d)
Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled IT Administrator with a strong focus on Network, Virtualization, and IT Security to join our dedicated IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing complex IT infrastructures, ensuring the security of our systems, and supporting our virtualization environments.
- Design, implement, and manage our network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
- Maintain and monitor virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.), ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization.
- Implement and manage IT security measures, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, intrusion detection systems, and security audits.
- Perform regular security assessments, vulnerability testing, and risk analysis to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Configure and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, and access points.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users, addressing network, virtualization, and security-related issues.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to plan and execute IT projects and initiatives.
- Proven experience in IT administration with a focus on network management, virtualization, and IT security.
- In-depth knowledge of networking technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar.
- Strong understanding of IT security principles, including knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and anti-virus software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills in English and German and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
