What you?ll be doing:
In this role, you will make a direct impact on the health and well-being of our members through the coordination, implementation, and/or delivery of health and fitness improvement programs and services, fitness center promotions and outreach activities. You will provide individual and group exercise instruction, monitor fitness facility and conduct fitness testing and assessments, advising participants of the results and designing individualized programs to meet the members? interests, abilities and goals. Other duties as-needed/assigned. Client site is located near the Torrey Reserve.
Substitute schedule consists of Monday - Friday, between the hours of 6am-2pm or 11am-7pm or mid-shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervises facility and monitors equipment and participant safety. Interacts with participants in person and ensures engagement with local and virtual offerings.
- Contributes to a supportive and engaging culture that drives member participation. Coordinates and leads a variety of HealthFitness and program-specific health improvement programs & promotions onsite and virtually.
- Promotes program offerings and engagement efforts to increase participation and re-engage inactive participants.
- Conducts fitness testing and assessments and advises participants of results both onsite and virtually; designs individualized programs to meet the participant?s interests, abilities, and goals.
- Recruiting efforts for new members onsite and virtually; enrolls new participants and conducts facility, program, and equipment orientations safely.
- Provides individual and group exercise instruction in future state; educates employees on proper techniques to maximize exercise safety and effectiveness.
- Utilize marketing and communications that may be delivered onsite and virtually to improve engagement.
- Associate's degree in a related field (Kinesiology, Exercise Science, etc.) or the equivalent combination of education, industry experience and current certification(s) from a HealthFitness approved provider.
- Current Adult First Aid and CPR/AED certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute.
