Job Summary
College of Lake County is currently looking for Adjunct Faculty for English Composition to join their team.
This position requires teaching ENG 121 (English Composition I) and/or ENG 122 (English Composition II).
This is not a remote/online position; we are seeking candidates available to teach face-to-face courses. Instructors are needed at the Lakeshore Campus (Waukegan), Southlake Campus (Vernon Hills), and the main campus in Grayslake.
Instructors must plan and prepare a course syllabus, teach all scheduled classes, and respond to and evaluate student work.

Required Qualification(s)
1. Master's degree in English, Rhetoric and Composition, or Literature, or MFA in Writing (completed before the teaching assignment begins).
2. Ability to work effectively and constructively with persons of diverse cultures, gender identities, language groups, and abilities; demonstrate sensitivity to and ability to work with the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
3. Competency in technologies commonly used in college level instruction.
Desired Qualification(s) * Previous teaching experience at the college level.
