This is an amazing opportunity to gain experience in a new modality that is taking the fitness industry by storm at our beautiful, brand new stretching studio located in Shelby Twp, MI. The Role: Flexologists provide professional one-on-one assisted stretches helping members with a customized mobility program working to increase their range of motion, reduce pain and eliminate joint stiffness. About StretchLab: StretchLab is the nationally accredited, industry leader in offering one-on-one assisted stretching. StretchLab prides itself on having the finest team of stretching professionals with it?s proprietary Flexologist Training Program ensuring that clients receive a world class stretching session. Responsibilities: - Deliver one-on-one assisted stretch sessions, chart member progression in our CRM system and schedule member?s recurring appointments. - Encourage and motivate clients throughout stretching sessions. - Build and maintain StretchLab membership by providing superior customer engagement. - Attend staff meetings and required educational presentations. - Address member concerns when applicable. - Assist General Manager with studio tours, off site events and sales as needed. - Clean and maintain all equipment to ensure availability and readiness. Experience/Qualifications: - Health and Wellness degree or current fitness certification required, such as: Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Sports medicine or certified as a Personal Trainer, Athletic Trainer, Strength and Conditioning Coach, Physical Therapist Assistant, Pilates Instructor or Yoga Instructor. - 1-2 years health & wellness field experience preferred. - Must be available to go through a paid 2 day in-person/hands on Flexologist Training Program in addition to 20 hours of online training. - Willingness to work weekends and ability to commit to 20-25 hours a week in block scheduling (4 hour minimum shifts). Typical schedule will include mornings and/or evenings, as well as limited weekend hours. - Love of boutique fitness environment required; passion for stretching, mobility and flexibility is strongly preferred. - Experience working in the fitness/health environment providing hands-on training with clients. - Excellent communication skills and the passion for connecting with people and helping them achieve their goals.
