Finance Analyst

Tidal Basin seeks a competent Finance Analyst to join the Hawaii project supporting those impacted from the Kona Low flooding incident. The Finance Analyst assists with overseeing the financial and resource management aspects of the program, ensuring optimal use of resources and maintaining financial integrity. This role involves budgeting, financial reporting, resource allocation, invoicing and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures. The Finance Analyst will work closely with the Project Manager to support the program's goals and ensure efficient and transparent operations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
Financial Management:
- Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to project management team.
- Oversee the allocation and utilization of program resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, including project scheduling and travel mobilization, demobilization and rotation tracking.
- Ensure resources are used effectively and efficiently to support project objectives.
- Maintain up-to-date records of resource inventories and needs.
- Conduct regular labor audits and reviews to identify and address any discrepancies or issues.
- Prepare detailed financial and resource management reports for internal review and external audit purposes.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of all financial and resource management activities.
- Identify opportunities for improving financial and resource management processes and implementing best practices.
- Provide guidance and training to program staff on policies, procedures, and resource management best practices.
- Support team members in understanding and adhering to financial and resource management requirements.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, including advanced Excel skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to ethical conduct.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Experience in project-based or program management environments is preferred.
