The Senior Learning Consultant will have a passion for leadership development and helping others develop their leadership skills. They will inspire and motivate our Ace Hardware store leaders to act and make a difference. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in learning and development, dynamic facilitation both virtually and in person, as well as experience in the retail industry. As the Leadership Development content expert, with a focus on delivering Franklin Covey content, this person will keep up to-date on the latest trends in learning and development in order to deliver training programs in a clear and concise way, clearly explaining complex concepts and make the training engaging and interactive. Through thought leadership, understanding the strategic direction, the ability to recognize retailer gaps and recommending solutions to assist our retailers will result in increased store performance by store leaders.
What you'll do:
- Develops Annual Calendar of Virtual Classes for Enrollment on Ace Learning Place (LMS) - Works with learning consultant team to build a quarterly calendar of classes to be offered virtually.
- Facilitates Advanced Leadership Development classes through Franklin Covey content - Deliver world class leadership content to Ace store owners, store managers and associates via classroom learning, conventions, and retailer group presentations to drive retailer business results. Conducts training that motivates, encourages participation, builds competencies, and improves individual's performance and contributions to their store KPI's.
- Drive Retailer Participation in Leadership Development - Markets and communicates all upcoming classes to internal partners and retailers through the People First Planner and other internal communications.
- Subject Matter Expert on Training - Provides input and serves as a subject matter expert on training standards, content, and practices to better understand Retailers learning needs and ensures all content delivered is relevant and up to date. May update some content as needed.
- Evaluating the Effectiveness of Training Programs- This includes collecting data on participant learning, satisfaction, and transfer of skills to the job. Provides regular reporting through a scorecard. Use testimonials from previous learners to demonstrate the value of the classes.
- Train the Trainer - Leads, coaches, sets direction, and provides feedback to other facilitators to drive impactful delivery of classes and address business needs. Developing certification standards.
- B.A / B.S in Learning & Development, Organizational Development related field
- 8-10 years of Training Facilitation and Delivery of Leadership Development content
- Proven track record in delivering training programs for a variety of audiences and learning styles and a functional understanding of adult learning concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and E-learning development tools and software (Zoom and Learning Management Systems)
- Presentation skills and the ability to effectively present training content and facilitate participants' learning by drawing out participation.
- Franklin Covey content facilitation or leadership soft skills facilitation experience strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, developing and maintaining positive business relationships and foster an environment of mutual respect, understanding, and support
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of learning theories and best practices
- Ability to travel 20-30% of the time
