Job title: Online Teaching Assistant III Company: Utah State University Job description: Overview The Communicative Disorders and Deaf Education department invites applications for a part-time, Online Teaching Assistant III for an ASL 3010 Course. This course is delivered asynchronously. This position is eligible for telework within the State of Utah. Responsibilities The assistant will grade expressive assignments using a provided rubric to guide feedback, and provide student support as assigned by the instructor. This may include synchronous zoom review sessions at the end of the unit that are optional for students. The Assistant would meet with students as needed and the teacher of record, which could be during the day, evenings, and/or on weekends. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

• Fluency in ASL
• Active involvement in the Deaf Community is expected.
• Familiarity with digital recording is desirable.
• Ability to work with computers and use the LMS system Canvas.

• Ability to work well with students and provide a positive learning environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching ASL is desired.
