Field Project Manager - 2
SCOPE: Perform functions to develop and manage translation projects and internships in assigned region with established and existing partners. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Serve as collaborative member of the Regional Team. • Manage existing partner relationships. • Manage and report on existing portfolio - with a focus on – On time and on budget for partners, projects, and internships. • Pass on new partner leads to Partnership Facilitator or Strategic Partner Rep. • Develops new projects and internships with existing partners. • Transition existing projects to next phase. • Receive portfolio from Partnership Facilitator after a partner is well established (submitting clean financial reports, timely narrative reports & within a healthy margin of project progress – limited to initial project time length). • Identify existing or potential obstacles to project progress and work with Regional Manager to resolve. • Interact with field partners and maintain regular communication to encourage and enable on-time completion of project goals and to leverage collaboration. • Maintain current awareness of the remaining needs (Progress.Bible) to determine translation needs within regions served. • Build and maintain strong working relationship with Financial Analyst(s). • Facilitate an environment of cross-functional, intra-organizational, and inter-organizational collaboration and communication. • Represent Seed Company culture to partners & broader Bible translation world. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: • None OTHER DUTIES: • Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups as directed and maintain required level of knowledge pertaining to operating procedures, requirements, processes and policies. • Lead and or participate in projects or task force groups which focus on issues having organization wide impact. • Perform or assist with any assignments as required or directed. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional or home office environment except when traveling. When traveling, conditions may be rugged (limited access to internet, mosquito nets, etc). PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Able to carry up to 30 pounds • Able to go places where there is limited medical assistance • Able to go to malaria areas • Able to function in environment with limited environmental controls (AC) • Able to travel 4+ hours in vehicles on rough terrain TRAVEL: 8 weeks of Domestic and International Travel. Focused on visits to existing partners. QUALIFICATIONS: • Strong faith in Jesus Christ as Savior; God honoring lifestyle. • Passion for the Word of God and provision of the Word for every people group. • Championing Seed Company’s vision, mission, and values. • Bachelor’s degree in required. Preferences in Cross-cultural studies, BA, Language, Communications, or related fields. • Two to four years of experience in cross-cultural work, project management, or non-profit. With preference given to experience in cross-cultural relationship management. • Able to hold a passport or visit necessary countries • Experience and language in specific region of service preferred • Demonstrated success in cross-cultural work with effective cross-generational communication skills and willingness to engage across theological and denominational platforms.
