Job Summary
As a Full Stack Item Designer, you'll be responsible for designing and developing features that enhance the Netflix experience, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and customer satisfaction. You'll have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects, collaborating with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and designers to create innovative solutions that meet the needs of our users.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop features that enhance the Netflix experience, using A/B testing and experimentation to drive business growth and customer satisfaction
- Work closely with engineers to empower item experiences, leveraging Android, iOS, Site, and TV UI engineering expertise
- Develop item experiences involving email as the material, using existing in-house email structures
- Collaborate with engineers on different backend frameworks, including core registration services like charging, payments, and records, to foundation, personalization, and content supervisory crews
- Work with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and customer satisfaction, leveraging data-driven insights and user feedback to inform design decisions
- Develop and maintain reusable, templated systems, ensuring scalability and extensibility
- Plan and implement natural and extensible APIs, ensuring seamless integration with frontend experiences
Essential Qualifications
* Experience in creating customer-facing applications through A/B testing strategies
- Proficiency in Java or other object-oriented programming languages
- Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript
- Front-end web development experience, including CSS, Backtalk/LESS, and a current JavaScript framework
- Experience writing SQL queries on large data platforms, such as SparkSQL, Voila, and Hive
- Experience designing and implementing APIs, ensuring seamless integration with frontend experiences
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience building backend frameworks to control frontend experiences
- Experience working with product development teams
- Experience building streams using different channels, such as Push, SMS, messaging apps, and in-app messaging experiences
- Experience with restriction frameworks and ICU organizing
- Experience in creating responsive and intuitive HTML or AMP email development experiences
- Experience in building large-scale, highly scalable gRPC services
Skills and Competencies
* Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

- A salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
