Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Scientist to join our Clinical Research and Evidence Generation team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced data analysis and machine learning models to drive insights and discoveries in the clinical trials space. You will work closely with our clinical research colleagues to develop and execute research studies, and will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our data and research findings.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement advanced data analysis and machine learning models to drive insights and discoveries in the clinical trials space
- Collaborate with clinical research colleagues to develop and execute research studies, including the design and implementation of data collection and analysis plans
- Ensure the quality and integrity of our data and research findings, including the development and implementation of data quality control and validation procedures
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and other data visualizations to support research and business decisions
- Conduct literature reviews and stay up-to-date with the latest research and methodologies in the field of clinical trials and evidence generation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new research initiatives and projects
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to support research and business objectives
Essential Capabilities
* 2+ years of experience with R, Python, or SQL programming languages
- Experience in designing and implementing powerful and reproducible statistical analyses, including studies of disease transmission and observational research with healthcare data
- Knowledge of normal statistical testing strategies, including generalized linear models, regression and classification, decision trees, machine learning, time series analysis, and survival analysis
- Experience handling large datasets from multiple sources
- Experience handling protected patient health information
- Knowledge of at least one of the following: Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Spotfire, or other business intelligence visualization tools
Preferred Capabilities
* Mastery in EMR/Health IT, disease libraries, and claims data sets
- Aptitude in clinical data principles, clinical terminologies, and controlled vocabularies used in healthcare data and ontologies (ICD9/10/ReadCode)
- Experience in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory compliance rules for real-world evidence studies or clinical trials (e.g., ISO, MDD/MDR, CFR)
- Experience working with alternative data sources and alternative methods for clinical data collection, particularly those enabled by technology platforms and solutions
- Experience with trial design, Bayesian modeling, sequential data, computational statistics
- Understanding of machine learning and AI strategies, ability to continue self-learning of technical and non-technical skills
