The Actuarial Development Program
Our Actuarial Improvement Program is a comprehensive, long-term program designed to foster the next generation of Actuarial leaders. Through a combination of training, mentorship, and hands-on experience, you will develop the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in this dynamic field. As a participant in the program, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and gain exposure to the latest trends and technologies in Actuarial Science.
Key Responsibilities
As an Actuarial Development Program Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Participating in all four rotations of the program, gaining exposure to key business areas and developing a comprehensive understanding of the Actuarial function
- Conducting risk evaluations, analyzing data, and providing recommendations to management
- Recording and analyzing data, preparing and submitting reports for administrative filings
- Examining guarantee data, monitoring hold levels, and providing insights on actuarial holding methods and issues
- Providing technical support and analysis for planning, estimating, and reporting processes
- Creating and suggesting pricing and pattern models for products or services
- Developing innovative technical solutions to complex problems, leveraging calculation sheets, data sets, and online applications
- Creating and implementing business requirements and specifications for processes, tools, and systems
Required Capabilities

- Be willing to relocate to a designated Actuarial center point
- Possess a strong understanding of Actuarial principles and practices
- Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

- Be able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
Favored Capabilities
While not required, the following skills and experiences are highly desirable:
- Entry-level or work experience supporting Actuarial functions in an organization or industry
- Leadership experience, such as leading student or community organization projects or sports teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with scientific or coding software, such as SAS, Python, Excel, VBA, SQL, or R
- Ability to work in a high-speed environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to support collaboration and a positive team culture to improve group effectiveness
