We are currently in an early but intentional stage of building the company and are looking for a Founding Fractional CMO who can help architect the marketing strategy and growth framework that will guide the company’s expansion. This is a strategic leadership role, not a tactical marketing position. Role Overview We are seeking a Founding Fractional CMO to work directly with the founder to design the strategic marketing foundation of the company. This is a part-time fractional role (approximately 10–20 hours per week) focused on building clarity, structure, and scalable growth systems. The ideal candidate is someone who has previously served as a:

  • CMO
  • VP of Marketing
  • Head of Growth
  • Fractional marketing strategist

and has experience building marketing systems from the ground up. You will work closely with the founder to shape the company’s marketing architecture and help guide how the marketing organization will eventually scale. Important: This Is a Strategic Role This is not a tactical marketing execution role. We are not looking for someone to run ads, manage social media accounts, or execute campaigns directly. Instead, we are looking for someone who can:

  • design the marketing strategy
  • architect the growth system
  • define KPIs and acquisition frameworks
  • structure marketing operations and team roles

Execution will eventually be handled by specialized operators.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing Architecture Design the strategic marketing foundation for the company. This includes:

  • defining and refining brand positioning
  • clarifying the ideal customer profile (ICP)
  • developing offer structure and messaging
  • designing acquisition channel strategy
  • defining marketing KPIs and success metrics

Growth Strategy & Acquisition Systems Develop the strategic framework for how the company acquires clients. Responsibilities include:

  • mapping acquisition channels and priorities
  • designing growth experiments and testing frameworks
  • identifying scalable growth opportunities
  • aligning brand strategy with revenue objectives

Marketing Systems & Infrastructure Help architect the systems that allow marketing to scale. This includes:

  • designing marketing dashboards and reporting structures
  • advising on CRM and marketing automation architecture
  • structuring marketing workflows and experimentation systems
  • building frameworks for measuring marketing performance

Founder Advisory & Strategic Guidance The Fractional CMO will act as a strategic advisor to the founder. Responsibilities include:

  • challenging assumptions and providing strategic insight
  • helping prioritize the highest impact initiatives
  • simplifying complex marketing decisions
  • creating clarity and direction for growth

What Success Looks Like The first 90 days will focus on building the strategic marketing foundation. First 30 Days

  • refine company positioning
  • define ideal customer profile
  • clarify service and offer structure
  • align messaging across the business

60 Days

  • define acquisition channel strategy
  • develop marketing KPI framework
  • outline marketing testing roadmap
  • identify gaps in marketing infrastructure

90 Days

  • deliver a clear growth strategy framework
  • establish performance dashboards
  • align marketing strategy with revenue goals
  • provide a roadmap for scaling the marketing team

Ideal Candidate Profile We are looking for someone who:

  • has 8+ years of marketing leadership experience
  • has worked as a CMO, VP Marketing, or Head of Growth
  • has experience building marketing systems from scratch
  • understands both brand strategy and performance marketing
  • has strong systems thinking and strategic clarity

Experience with B2B services, consulting firms, or growth-focused organizations is a strong plus. Skills We Value

  • hourly engagement initially with potential retainer structure

If the collaboration is strong and the company scales successfully, this role could evolve into a larger leadership position within the organization.
