What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Oversee and manage Security Operations Center (SOC) functions and technology tools, emphasizing security and efficiency
• Monitor the organization's information assets, systems, and infrastructure while proactively identifying and responding to potential threats
• Conduct threat hunting campaigns, incident management, malware analysis, and information dissemination as required
• Provide cyber threat and vulnerability intelligence to enhance security measures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and secure website applications against potential security risks

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• Must successfully pass a background investigation prior to hire
• Minimum qualifications as defined in the Class Specification for Information Technology Specialist II
• Experience in event and log analysis/triage, and familiarity with SIEM solutions
• Understanding of IPS/IDS and enterprise network communications hardware and software systems
• Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Proven expertise in patch and vulnerability management, server and desktop protections, and endpoint management
• Strong knowledge of proxy servers and mainframe systems
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH)
• Familiarity with virtual and cloud computing environments
