Key Responsibilities

As an Insurance Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

  • Handling property & casualty (p&c) related customer service and/or billing inquiries and problems via the telephone
  • Providing policyholders with plan coverage information, quotes, policy changes, and policy change impacts to premium
  • Reviewing and updating policies to enhance retention and better meet the needs of the consumer
  • Counseling policyholders concerning appropriate coverage, policy limits, payment options, and state laws that will best meet their needs for sufficient protection against risks covered by Property and Casualty insurance
  • Making appropriate recommendations and/or changes to the policy and gaining policyholder acceptance to process the changes
  • Receiving and responding to calls and emails received by the insurance service center, documenting all activity in EPIC
  • Utilizing knowledge of insurance industry and club insurance agency policies and procedures to provide efficient and professional customer service
  • Providing quotes on endorsements as requested
  • Identifying opportunities to apply discounts, processing insurance verification forms for insured, and acting as liaison for information exchange between customer and insurance companies
  • Processing changes to policies within EPIC and submitting changes to specific companies
  • Following up with company to ensure change requests have been processed in a timely manner
  • Reviewing policy information and referencing company-specific claims procedures to assist insured in filing claims
  • Mailing insured documentation to be signed and returned as necessary, and following up to ensure documentation has been returned in a timely manner from member/customer
  • Recognizing cross-sell opportunities (membership and insurance) and obtaining quote information

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of increasingly complex customer service experience in an insurance environment
  • Property and Casualty insurance license required
  • Membership license preferred and/or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment

Work Schedule

This role is available to work from home, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. CST, with rotating Saturdays with the team. Saturday hours would be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
