  • *About The Role**

This summer internship program at CoxHealth is designed for students seeking practical experience in the healthcare industry. Running from June 1, 2026, through August 7, 2026, this ten-week program offers interns the opportunity to develop their skills in a real-world setting. Interns will work closely with experienced staff members on meaningful projects that contribute to departmental goals and organizational success. This role is ideal for individuals pursuing a degree in a related field who are eager to gain industry-specific knowledge, enhance their professional skills, and explore potential career paths within healthcare support functions. Throughout the internship, participants will engage in various industry tasks, participate in team collaborations, and contribute to projects that have a tangible impact on patient care and operational efficiency.

  • *Qualifications**

Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited university program with a focus related to healthcare, business, or support functions, or recently graduated with a relevant degree. Experience: No prior experience required; however, a strong interest in healthcare and a desire to learn are essential. Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to evaluate departmental needs creatively and effectively; capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within teams; strong time management, interpersonal, organizational, presentation, decision-making, and planning skills; proficiency in technology and relevant software applications. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Not applicable for this internship.

  • *Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of departmental projects aligned with organizational goals.
  • Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project planning activities.
  • Conduct research and analyze data to support decision-making processes.
  • Contribute to process improvements and innovation initiatives within the department.
  • Support staff in daily operational tasks to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Engage in training sessions and professional development activities to enhance industry knowledge.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation as required by supervising staff.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a comprehensive understanding of healthcare operations.
