As a Regulatory Counsel for Turkey, you will assist with a broad range of legal and regulatory matters related to financial products and services in the FinTech, crypto, and blockchain sectors within Turkey. You will provide expert legal and regulatory support to local and global business teams, ensuring compliance with Turkish laws and regulations, and help drive the company’s strategic initiatives in this rapidly evolving market. \n Key Responsibilities: Advise on regulatory perimeter assessments, licensing and registration applications, product compliance, regulatory investigations, advertising, and consumer protection matters specific to Turkey’s financial and crypto regulatory framework. Support local and global business teams on product launches, marketing campaigns, and promotional activities by providing legal/regulatory guidance, drafting product terms, and ensuring compliance with Turkish regulatory requirements. Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders through effective contract management, budget oversight, and timely legal advice. Keep abreast of the latest developments in Turkish laws and regulations affecting crypto, FinTech, and blockchain industries, providing strategic, forward-looking advice to foster compliance and mitigate risks. Proactively identify legal and regulatory challenges and propose practical solutions to support business objectives. Collaborate closely with legal teams across different time zones to provide seamless, around-the-clock legal support. Manage relationships with external counsel and regulatory authorities in Turkey. Represent the company in legal proceedings or regulatory matters in Turkey when required, safeguarding the company’s interests. Requirements: Qualified to practice law in Turkey. 5-10 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with a focus on financial services, FinTech, crypto, or blockchain sectors. Law degree from a reputable university; advanced degrees (e.g., Master’s in Financial or Technology Law) are a plus. Experience working in a top-tier law firm or in-house legal team with exposure to Turkish financial regulatory authorities. Strong knowledge of Turkish financial, crypto, and consumer protection regulations. Proven ability to work independently and pragmatically in a fast-paced, global environment. Excellent project management skills and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams across multiple locations and cultures.
