Job Summary
As a Retail Customer Service Cashier at arenaflex, you'll be the face of our company, providing fast, friendly, and accurate services to our customers. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining clean and organized stores while delivering exceptional customer experiences. You'll have the opportunity to cross-train in other departments, including Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles. Key Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional customer service, including helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs
- Balance a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws
- Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products
- Maintain a clean and organized store, including the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs
- Perform additional duties as needed, including cross-training in other departments
- Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds, and work in various temperatures
Essential Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous retail experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 25+ pounds and work in various temperatures
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous experience in a customer-facing role
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems and procedures
