Primary Responsibilities: Lead the development, revision, and implementation of comprehensive curricula for various academic programs, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and accreditation standards. Conduct thorough needs assessments and research to identify emerging trends, best practices, and knowledge gaps in specific subject areas. Design engaging and effective learning objectives, instructional strategies, content materials, and assessment methods. Collaborate closely with faculty, subject matter experts, instructional designers, and technology specialists throughout the curriculum development lifecycle. Oversee the integration of innovative teaching methodologies, educational technologies, and multimedia resources into course materials. Develop clear and concise course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, and associated learning resources. Ensure curriculum content is relevant, accurate, and meets the needs of a diverse student population. Facilitate faculty development workshops and provide guidance on curriculum design and pedagogical approaches. Manage multiple curriculum development projects simultaneously, adhering to established timelines and quality standards. Review and evaluate existing curricula, making recommendations for improvement based on student feedback, faculty input, and performance data. Contribute to institutional initiatives related to academic innovation and program enhancement. Maintain documentation and records related to curriculum development processes and approvals. Qualifications: Master's or Doctoral degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Design, or a relevant academic discipline. A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or academic program development, preferably within higher education. Demonstrated expertise in adult learning theories, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and assessment strategies. Proven ability to research, analyze, and synthesize complex information for curriculum creation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for clear and concise articulation of educational concepts. Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead complex initiatives and manage multiple stakeholders. Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) such as Canvas, Blackboard, or Moodle. Familiarity with accreditation processes and quality assurance in higher education. Experience in developing online, hybrid, and face-to-face course formats. Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
