Architectural Designer/Drafter
DAHLIN Architecture | Planning | Interiors is an award-winning firm seeking an Architectural Designer/Drafter in Pleasanton, CA. The role involves developing design or technical solutions, performing design layouts, reviewing drawings, and assisting project teams under general supervision.
Responsibilities
- Undertake a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard architectural techniques for small projects or selected segments of a larger project
- Perform design layouts and features, which require researching, compiling, and recording information for assigned project work
- Review drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards and implement any changes as directed
- Assist project teams and other staff members as required
Skills
- Demonstrated skills and talent in Revit / BIM, AutoCAD, SketchUp modeling, Adobe Photoshop, and preparation of presentation materials
- Excellent problem solver and independent thinker with good listening skills and strong follow-through
- Strong verbal and graphic communication, organizational and collaborative skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- A minimum of 1 year of post-graduate / professional experience or A/E/C internship required
- Completion of Bachelor's or Master's in Architecture from an NAAB accredited program
- Commitment to their own professional growth as designer, architect, or planner
- Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without any restrictions. Please note that visa sponsorship is not offered for this position
- Commitment to obtaining licensure preferred
