Procurement Professional
Job Description:
- Perform procurement and supplier management activities in support of U.S. Government and Commercial contracts.
- Administer and manage high dollar and complex material and service procurements from both domestic and international suppliers.
- Utilize source selection techniques, compile, and analyze data to perform price analyses, conduct negotiations and identify supplier risks.
- Ensure that requirements are properly communicated to suppliers and manage supplier performance to cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Work closely with the program office to identify solutions to sourcing issues.
- Monitor procurement reports and help drive performance to meet company metric targets.
- Assist in the training of peer procurement professionals as needed.
Requirements:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Experience placing purchase orders of medium to high complexity and medium to high dollar values.
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
- DoD procurement experience and working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Proficiency to perform and comprehend price and cost analysis.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of all phases of sourcing and procurement execution.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office tools.
