About arenaflex – Shaping the Future of Entertainment

arenaflex is a world‑leading streaming entertainment company that has transformed how millions of people discover, watch, and share movies, series, documentaries, and original content. With a library that spans dozens of languages and cultures, arenaflex relies on precise, high‑quality metadata to deliver a seamless, personalized viewing experience. Our mission is to make every story accessible to every viewer, and we achieve that by combining cutting‑edge technology with a passionate, global workforce. As part of our remote workforce, you will join a vibrant community that values creativity, curiosity, and collaboration—no matter where you are located.

Why This Role Matters

Accurate metadata is the backbone of the arenaflex platform. It powers search, recommendations, subtitles, accessibility features, and the overall user journey. As a Content Tagger and Data Entry Specialist, you will be the guardian of that data, ensuring that each title is described with the utmost precision. Your work directly influences how viewers discover new content, how algorithms suggest the next binge‑watch, and how the platform maintains compliance with regional regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, tag, and enrich metadata for a diverse catalog of movies, series, documentaries, and original productions.
  • Enter and validate data in arenaflex’s proprietary content management system, adhering to strict quality‑control standards.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including engineering, product, and localization—to resolve data inconsistencies and improve tagging workflows.
  • Conduct regular audits of existing metadata to identify gaps, redundancies, or inaccuracies, and propose corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of tagging conventions, data entry procedures, and best practices.
  • Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives, providing feedback on tools, processes, and automation opportunities.
  • Support the development of machine‑learning models by supplying clean, well‑structured training data.
  • Stay up‑to‑date with industry standards, genre classifications, and emerging trends in content categorization.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in software development, data entry, or a related technical field.
  • Proficiency with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go) and an understanding of how code interacts with data pipelines.
  • Hands‑on experience working in micro‑service architectures and cloud‑based environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets, ensuring accuracy and consistency under tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high‑quality work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear collaboration across distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience with media‑related metadata standards such as MPEG‑7, EIDR, or ONIX.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and data‑entry tools used in the entertainment industry.
  • Knowledge of video streaming technologies, CDN operations, and load‑balancing concepts.
  • Background in linguistics, film studies, or a related humanities discipline that enhances cultural awareness.
  • Exposure to agile development practices, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and version control (Git).
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, quickly iterate on feedback, and adapt to evolving priorities.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous data handling to prevent downstream errors.
  • Problem‑Solving: Ability to diagnose data anomalies and propose scalable solutions.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working with engineers, product managers, and global localization teams.
  • Self‑Management: Strong discipline to meet deadlines while working remotely.
