Software Tester / QA Analyst / Automation Engineer

Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for a Software Tester / QA Analyst / Automation Engineer. The person in this role will design, execute, and maintain test cases for web-based products, internal tools, and content delivery systems to ensure high quality and reliability. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing manual and automated test execution, documenting defects, validating fixes, and collaborating with developers, product owners, and content teams to clarify requirements. The role involves setting up and improving test environments, contributing to test plans and regression suites, and helping define quality standards and metrics. The team relies on clear communication and proactive problem-solving, so the role requires regular participation in remote stand-ups and status updates.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Software Testing and Quality Assurance, with experience validating web or SaaS products.
• Hands-on experience with Test Execution and creating, maintaining, and prioritizing Test Cases.
• Well-developed Analytical Skills for debugging issues, interpreting test results, and identifying root causes.
• Familiarity with test automation tools or frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar) and basic scripting skills.
• Experience working in agile or lean product teams and using issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Linear, or similar).
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document test results and defects precisely.
• Comfort working independently in a remote environment and managing time effectively in a part-time schedule.
• Nice to have: experience in content platforms, media, or startups; exposure to CI/CD pipelines and basic version control (e.g., Git).
