Position Summary

As a Remote Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining a variety of healthcare-related data within our internal systems. Your work will directly support claims processing, member records management, provider data maintenance, and operational reporting functions. Every record you manage contributes to the integrity of the systems that healthcare professionals and members rely on every day.

This is a full-time, remote position with structured training, ongoing mentorship, and clear pathways for advancement. You will work with a collaborative team of data analysts, operations specialists, and quality assurance professionals who are invested in your success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and timely data entry into arenaflex's proprietary and third-party data management systems from a remote work environment.
  • Review source documentation, digital records, and scanned forms to extract and input relevant information into structured databases.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of data by comparing source documents with entered records and resolving any inconsistencies.
  • Identify and correct data discrepancies, errors, or omissions to uphold the highest standards of data quality and integrity.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and security of all sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and arenaflex's data protection policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including claims operations, member services, provider relations, and IT to address data-related questions and resolve issues.
  • Follow established workflows, standard operating procedures, and compliance guidelines to ensure consistency across all data entry tasks.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, internal data entry software, and other digital tools to streamline daily tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay current on system updates, compliance requirements, and best practices in data management.
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly productivity and quality targets as defined by team leadership.
  • Provide feedback to supervisors regarding opportunities for process improvement, recurring data issues, or system usability concerns.
  • Maintain organized electronic records of completed work to support audit readiness and operational transparency.

Essential Qualifications

arenaflex welcomes candidates who are motivated to learn and build a long-term career. The following qualifications are required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED required; associate degree or coursework in business, healthcare administration, information systems, or a related field preferred but not required.
  • No prior professional data entry experience necessary, though familiarity with computer-based data input is expected.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect errors, inconsistencies, and missing information in large volumes of data.
  • Proficient computer skills, including comfort using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn new software platforms quickly.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, distraction-free home workspace suitable for handling confidential information.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with team members and supervisors in a remote setting.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and integrity.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined, with the ability to work independently while staying connected to a distributed team.
  • Basic understanding of, or willingness to learn, healthcare-related data terminology and compliance standards such as HIPAA.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will help you stand out as a candidate:

  • Previous experience in a remote work environment, customer service, administrative support, or office-based role.
  • Familiarity with data entry software, optical character recognition (OCR) tools, or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Typing speed of 50 words per minute or higher with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Exposure to healthcare, insurance, claims processing, or medical billing terminology.
  • Experience working with large datasets, spreadsheets, or structured databases.
