Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Education Teacher to join our remote team for the 2024-2025 school year. As a Virtual Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs. You will work closely with students, parents, and other educators to ensure effective teaching and support, utilizing remote teaching tools and technology to deliver engaging and effective instruction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Create and implement tailored IEPs for students with special needs, taking into account their unique learning styles, abilities, and goals.
• Collaborate with Students, Parents, and Educators: Work closely with students, parents, and other educators to ensure effective teaching and support, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment that encourages student growth and development.
• Utilize Remote Teaching Tools and Technology: Leverage remote teaching tools and technology to deliver engaging and effective instruction, staying up-to-date with the latest educational trends and best practices.
• Monitor and Assess Student Progress: Regularly monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed to ensure students meet their learning goals and objectives.
• Communicate Effectively: Develop and maintain strong communication skills, working effectively in a remote environment to ensure seamless collaboration and support.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Certification for Pennsylvania: Hold a valid Special Education certification for the state of Pennsylvania, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to teaching students with special needs.
• Experience Teaching Students with Special Needs: Have experience teaching students with special needs, with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective IEPs and teaching strategies.
• Strong Communication Skills: Possess strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment and collaborate with students, parents, and educators.
• Proficiency in Educational Technology: Be proficient in using educational technology and remote learning platforms, staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in remote teaching and learning.
