[Remote] Sr. Statistical Analyst, Development

The American Heart Association is seeking an experienced Senior Statistical Analyst in their National Center office located in Dallas, TX. This role is responsible for translating complex data into actionable insights to drive fundraising performance and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Applies statistical and analytical methods (e.g., regression, segmentation, forecasting, scoring) to support fundraising strategy, prospect identification, and performance optimization
  • Identifies patterns in large, multi-source datasets and translates findings into clear, actionable recommendations that inform fundraising strategy, market prioritization, and resource allocation
  • Develops scalable analytical workflows and reporting solutions using SQL, business intelligence tools, and automation platforms (e.g., Alteryx or similar) to support ongoing decision-making
  • Stays current on applied analytics techniques and tools, incorporating practical approaches that improve efficiency and impact of analysis
  • Works cross-functionally with data engineering, business stakeholders, and leadership to define data structures, metrics, and data quality standards across systems (e.g., CRM, cloud data warehouse, external data sources)
  • Supports development and adoption of advanced prospecting, segmentation, and targeting tools by integrating internal and external data (e.g., firmographic, financial, and relationship network data) into business workflows
  • Engages in cross-functional collaboration to enhance analytics platforms and data-driven decision-making capabilities

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Five (5) years of prior relevant experience
  • Perform data extraction, Data manipulation, transformation, and analysis using SQL, R, and Python
  • Data modeling and data quality validation (e.g., understanding of data structure, joins, and data consistency)
  • Data visualization and storytelling (e.g., Tableau or similar tools)
  • Operates with a high degree of autonomy and partners cross-functionally with strategy, data engineering, and business leadership
  • Experience working with large, complex, multi-source datasets in a business or nonprofit environment preferred
  • Experience working with CRM data (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Databricks or similar)
