[Remote] Regional Sales Manager Job

Armstrong World Industries, through its subsidiary Arktura LLC, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to enhance brand visibility and drive revenue growth. The role involves forming relationships with the architectural and design community, providing technical expertise, and coordinating product sales to achieve specified goals.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an expert on not only company products but also knowledgeable on competitive brands and the industry to provide technical expertise for the successful specification of our product
  • Communicate with the Sales Team and independent representative network for product sales coordination
  • Identify relevant projects, key players, and decision-makers with the goal of increasing the frequency of product specifications by architects and designers during the design phase of projects
  • Develop and grow relationships with key industry contacts including architects, designers, general contractors, installers, and end users
  • Report and track pertinent opportunity changes and information using our CRM software regarding project specifications, pricing, changes, and progress
  • Demonstrate leadership skills and ability to represent the company brand through organizing, facilitating, and leading meetings
  • Display a level of professionalism and understanding that protects the company’s interest while advocating for the customer experience
  • Operate with understanding and compassion in all interactions within and outside of the company
  • Provide ongoing technical support with field expertise. Offers guidance and education to architects and designers through regular calls and through active participation in key networking events
  • Guide project specifications to ensure manufacturability and feasibility on projects prior to specification, quoting, or project handoff
  • When possible, performs risk assessments/feasibility studies for new projects with engineering and SMEs on manufacturing capability during or prior to design consultation meetings with outside parties
  • Communicate and establish a good working relationship with Project Management and Product Technical Teams to address client concerns and project needs
  • Use company software and resources to evaluate, price, and quote projects for clients and sales representative teams
  • Complete monthly directives based on management instructions and achieves measurable goals
  • Consistently achieve overall regional sales goals including the realization of established revenue, gross margin, and contribution margin goals
  • Develop and execute strategic plans by leveraging technological and financial opportunities, while maximizing and enhancing available assets and resources
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and manage independent representatives within the region
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with all representatives, to ensure values, strategies, and objectives are communicated and understood
  • Ensure that representative sales goals and objectives are met by assigning accountabilities with monthly metrics to drive results and manage consistently
  • Plan, manage, and attend trade shows and conferences where company presence is necessary; plans and assists representatives with their shows. Follow up with them on their shows to assess the value to and impact on the company

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • 4+ recent years of architectural sales or architectural manufacturing industry experience
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand, measure, and navigate through architectural drawings
  • Ability to prioritize, work independently, and manage feedback and expectations effectively
  • Ability to develop proficiency on all products and stay current on trends to help contribute to the Product Development Team
  • Ability and experience to plan effectively, both short and long term
  • Working knowledge and experience with construction, contracting, and distribution
  • Proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Windows applications
  • Working knowledge of CAD
  • Familiarity with 3D models
  • Proficient in using Bluebeam, Salesforce, and ERP
