Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dunham-Bush USA is seeking a DC Service Engineer to be an integral part of the Data Center Support team. The role involves assisting and supervising the start-up of chillers and overseeing the commissioning process on data center projects, requiring expertise in commercial HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and supervise the start-up of air-cooled and water-cooled chillers on data center projects
  • Lead and support the full commissioning process, ensuring all systems meet operational and performance standards
  • Coordinate with data center project teams, contractors, and external parties throughout the commissioning and start-up phases
  • Perform functional testing and quality assurance inspections to verify units meet predetermined build and performance standards
  • Troubleshoot refrigeration and electrical systems and interpret wiring diagrams accurately and efficiently
  • Execute, follow, and verify outlined start-up and commissioning procedures and documentation
  • Communicate technical concerns and findings clearly within the organization and to external stakeholders
  • Intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in varying temperatures and environments
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the data center support division
  • Must be willing and able to travel to various locations as required for site visits

Skills

  • 5–8 years of field commercial HVAC experience
  • Verifiable HVAC school completion
  • Proven experience with chiller start-up and commissioning processes
  • Strong understanding of the refrigeration cycle and all its components
  • Controls experience
  • Quality assurance (QA) experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory qualities
  • EPA Certification (required)
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in varying temperatures and environments
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the data center support division
  • Must be willing and able to travel to various locations as required for site visits
  • Intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Prior data center or mission-critical facility experience
