[Remote] Social Media Coordinator

GoodWork Environmental Jobs is seeking a Social Media Coordinator for the Canadian Conservation Photography Collective (CCPC), which promotes conservation and science education through visual content. The coordinator will manage and publish content across social media platforms, engage audiences, and collaborate with team members to enhance the collective's online presence.
Responsibilities
- Share responsibility with other team members for scheduling and posting social media content
- Manage and publish content across several CCPC social media accounts
- Schedule posts using available social media scheduling tools where applicable
- Manually publish content on platforms that require direct posting
- Create ad hoc posts, stories, and updates to highlight campaigns, photographers’ work, and relevant conservation topics
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent messaging and visual identity across platforms
- Monitor engagement and support efforts to reach and connect with broader audiences
Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience contributing to social media accounts for organizations, projects, or personal brands. Experience creating visual or written content for social media is required
- Familiarity with major social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
- Strong interest in conservation, photography, storytelling, or environmental issues
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Creativity and an eye for compelling visual storytelling
- Attention to detail and ability to follow posting schedules
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote team environment
- Interest in using social media to inform, inspire, and engage audiences
- Experience with social media scheduling tools is an asset
