They are seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager to lead high-impact geotechnical projects across the U.S., balancing technical excellence, client partnership, and business development while mentoring teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex geotechnical projects from concept through completion, managing budget, schedule, and quality
  • Oversee field explorations, subsurface investigations, laboratory testing, and construction observation
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and proposals that support project delivery and business development
  • Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders to deliver innovative geotechnical solutions
  • Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance across projects
  • Track project progress, identify risks, and implement strategies to ensure successful outcomes

Skills

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering; M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering preferred
  • 12+ years of geotechnical engineering experience, including project management
  • Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain PE quickly
  • Proficiency in geotechnical software (AutoCAD, Geostudio, Lpile, or similar)
  • Knowledge of transportation and railroad design and construction standards
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to travel to project sites nationwide
