[Remote] Assessment Scientist CST (Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychologist)

The Assessment Scientist will oversee eCOA implementation, manage scale licensing and translation, and design rater training programs to ensure high-quality data collection in clinical studies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead scientific oversight of eCOA implementation, ensuring accurate translation of endpoint scales into digital platforms with full fidelity to protocol and scoring requirements
  • Drive development and review of eCOA specifications, partnering with vendors to deliver high-quality, fit-for-purpose system design
  • Own UAT strategy, including authoring and reviewing test scripts to validate endpoint logic, workflows, and data integrity
  • Lead end-to-end UAT execution, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure successful system delivery and study readiness
  • Lead global scale licensing and copyright strategy, ensuring compliant and efficient use of clinical outcome assessments
  • Ensure accurate scale selection, version control, and implementation aligned with protocol-defined endpoints
  • Oversee translation strategy and vendor execution, ensuring high-quality, culturally appropriate instruments across regions
  • Drive consistency across source scales, translations, and eCOA/eCRF implementations to protect endpoint integrity
  • Design and deliver tailored rater training programs to ensure high-quality, standardized endpoint data collection across sites
  • Define rater qualification standards and support selection of experienced, study-ready site personnel
  • Develop and deploy engaging training and certification programs to drive consistency in scale administration and scoring
  • Monitor rater performance and lead targeted remediation to minimize variability and protect endpoint reliability

Skills

  • Graduate (e.g., MA/MS) degree in psychology/behavioral sciences, or related field
  • Knowledge of psychiatric and neuropsychiatric assessments, including patient reported outcome measures
  • Experience rating psychiatric and/or neuropsychiatric assessments
  • Experience within the clinical research or pharmaceutical industry
  • Excellent planning/organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken, with an ability to inform, influence, convince, and persuade
  • Strong presentation skills, with experience presenting in professional settings
  • Ability to travel as necessary (approximately 20%)
