They are seeking a Senior Specialist Legal Editor to leverage antitrust law expertise in creating and maintaining legal content while supporting the development of AI-driven legal solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Research, write and maintain clear, current, and practical legal content aligned with market practice and customer needs, and business objectives
  • Review and edit content written by others, whether by colleagues or external expert contributors
  • Keep up to date with legal, practice and market developments to ensure content remains accurate, relevant and aligned with business objectives
  • Use your legal expertise to support the development of customer-focused Thomson Reuters' AI-powered legal solutions
  • Use your legal expertise and editorial skills to help develop and apply internal AI editorial tools
  • Develop and maintain relationships with lawyers and industry groups to ensure content reflects current market practice
  • Use your specialist legal knowledge to assist the wider Thomson Reuters team, working with product management, sales, marketing, and technology functions where necessary

Skills

  • Juris Doctor with a current license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction
  • At least 8 years' experience of working as an antitrust lawyer in a law firm or in-house in the US
  • Extensive experience advising on Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Act filings, HSR exemptions, and premerger notification practice
  • Experience advising on gun-jumping issues, clean team arrangements, and antitrust risk-shifting provisions in M&A transactions
  • Familiarity with the Practical Law What's Market database or similar deal intelligence resources
  • Strong writing skills, and a passion for writing about legal practice accurately, concisely and in plain English
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively independently and in teams
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to effectively utilize various tools, including AI technologies, to enhance productivity and accuracy
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work on diverse projects and tasks within the AI space as well as new and emerging technologies
  • A curious mindset, including about the increasing intersection of AI and legal practice, adaptable and open to change
  • A strong interest in and experience of using AI tools in legal work
