[Remote] Business Development Manager

Precision Sales Recruiting is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth across the Americas for an established specialty manufacturer. The role focuses on building relationships with new prospects in existing and emerging markets, driving innovation, and developing solutions to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Build a full understanding of regional market size and shape, and scope adjacent market opportunities through deep analysis of trends, needs, and growth areas
- Partner with marketing leadership to develop regional insight into commercial and technical trends that open new specialty end-market segments and applications
- Prospect new business, gauge customer needs, develop solutions, and build persuasive proposals that convert prospects through to first commercial sales
- Run a robust change process for transferring customer ownership to the sales organization
- Collaborate with customers, R&D, technical service, and sales to drive innovation and commercialization of high-impact new product development
- Support business cases on new product development with market insight, and monitor market developments through to first commercial sales
- Define the regional five-year growth plan in collaboration with the sales and technical teams
- Build relationships with trade associations and represent the company at industry conferences
Skills
- Bachelor's degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum five years in business development within a specialty product environment
- Proven ability to build lasting business relationships, sell ideas and solutions, win new business, and hit targets
- Technical background sufficient to understand customer needs and translate them into new product development requirements
- Strong commercial acumen and a solid grasp of business and marketing principles
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to summarize key messages and present with confidence
- Self-starter who can stand up business development programs in partnership with other functions
- Proficiency with MS Office and common CRM and planning tools
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 30%
- Master's degree preferred
- Ten or more years preferred
