Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Green Line Digital is seeking a skilled Frontend Web Developer to join their digital team. The role involves collaborating with various teams to create and maintain fast, functional websites while ensuring a high level of design accuracy and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and customize WordPress sites using the SiteOrigin Page Builder and SiteOrigin CSS
Customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Translate design mockups into pixel-accurate, responsive page layouts while maintaining theme consistency across multi-page builds
Evaluate, configure, and customize plugins to meet project requirements, writing custom overrides to extend functionality without breaking core updates
Partner with the creative team for technical feasibility, SEO strategists for on-page optimizations (schema, Core Web Vitals), and backend engineers on API integrations
Conduct cross-browser/device QA, optimize assets for Google PageSpeed/Lighthouse targets, and safely apply core updates across staging and production environments

Skills

2+ years of experience building and customizing WordPress sites, with specific hands-on experience using SiteOrigin Page Builder
Proficiency with Shopify theme development, including Liquid templating and the Shopify admin ecosystem
Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (vanilla JS; jQuery a plus)
Experience customizing plugins and writing CSS/JS overrides that survive updates
Working knowledge of SEO best practices as they apply to web development (page speed, structured data, semantic markup, Core Web Vitals)
Comfort with Git for version control and collaborative development
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to pixel-level accuracy
Experience with Elementor/Divi, Shopify's Dawn theme, REST APIs, or WCAG accessibility standards
