Position Overview – Remote Airport Operations Crew Member

We are seeking enthusiastic, customer‑focused individuals to join our Airport Operations Crew as Remote Customer Service Representatives. In this role, you will be the friendly face (and voice) that passengers rely on for a smooth check‑in, baggage handling, and overall travel experience. While the position is remote, you will support airport activities through our advanced digital platforms, ensuring that every passenger interaction reflects arenaflex’s high standards of service and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Passenger Identification & Verification: Accurately check and confirm passenger IDs, ensuring compliance with security regulations.
  • Baggage Management: Tag, lift, and handle passenger luggage up to 100 lb, coordinating with ground‑handling teams to guarantee timely loading and unloading.
  • Reservation Support: Book, modify, and confirm flight reservations using arenaflex’s reservation system; upsell ancillary services such as extra legroom and additional baggage.
  • Real‑Time Communication: Update passengers on flight status, gate changes, and boarding information via the arenaflex public‑address system and digital messaging tools.
  • Collaboration Across Departments: Work closely with ticketing, gate agents, and security teams to resolve passenger issues and maintain a seamless flow of operations.
  • Aircraft Turnaround Assistance: Support aircraft cleaning, seat‑pocket checks, and cabin preparation for the next flight, ensuring compliance with arenaflex’s turnaround standards.
  • Special Assistance: Provide personalized help to passengers with unique needs, including those requiring wheelchair assistance, unaccompanied minor services, or language support.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate airport equipment such as jet bridges, stairs, and handheld radios safely and efficiently.
  • Safety & Security Advocacy: Act as a Safety Ambassador, reporting hazards, incidents, and security concerns in line with arenaflex’s Safety Management System (SMS) and Security Management Framework.
  • Flexibility & Adaptability: Perform additional duties as assigned, including short‑term travel (up to 10 % of schedule) for training or operational support.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of customer service or sales experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
  • Willingness to adhere to the arenaflex Uniform Policy Manual.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency with a computer mouse, keyboard, and standard office software (email, word processing, spreadsheets).
  • Capability to operate handheld radios and make clear announcements.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of customer service, sales, or volunteer experience.
  • Knowledge of customer service best practices and airline industry standards.
  • Experience handling multiple payment methods (cash, credit cards, travel vouchers).
  • Prior experience in an airline or airport environment.
  • Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish or other widely spoken languages.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong listening, empathy, and conflict‑resolution abilities.
  • Attention to Detail: Precise verification of IDs, baggage tags, and reservation data.
  • Problem‑Solving: Ability to think quickly and provide effective solutions under pressure.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable navigating arenaflex’s reservation and communication platforms.

  • Team Orientation: Collaborative mindset to work with diverse airport teams and support crew members.
  • Safety Mindset: Commitment to adhering to FAA, OSHA, and arenaflex safety regulations.

The role involves moderate physical activity, including lifting luggage (50‑100 lb) and standing for long periods in bustling airport terminals. You will be exposed to high‑noise levels, variable weather conditions, and a fast‑paced environment. Flexibility is essential, as schedules may require occasional overtime or short‑notice travel to other locations for training or operational support.
